While it will be a while before set up to actually make armour, the shop has a new location and everything is moved out of the old one!  That was a lot quicker than expected but things came together and a space came available just 10 minutes from home.

In the past 2 months since reopening the shop the armoury has cleared over 11 helms and several other items, the vast majority from old back-orders from the 2008 shutdown.  I am very happy to have been able to do this and look forward to clearing more in the future.

Unfortunately,  the shop needs a new location and funding has run dry.  So the shop has to get packed up temporarily until I find a new shop space and get it stocked with supplies.  Looking at October or November as the soonest before I can get another shop open and do some hammering.

I have found a shop space in town and need to raise funds to move into that space by the 1st or the shop will have to go back in storage/hibernation for a while.  I cleared a lot of items in the last month and a half and would like to continue to clear backorders but have to get into a space here in town.

As many of you know, West Coast Armoury is being run as a “Not for Profit” project with the goal of simply clearing all of the old orders from the 2008 shutdown.  But shop rent and materials are not free and shop funds and materials are just about out.  That is why occasionally I have items in stock and for sale, to keep things going.

Most items in the Store section have been marked down from their “normal” price for right now.  I need to raise $800 for the shop space by the 1st.  I have a set of arms with titanium splints, a set of medium 3 lame gauntlets, 3 gorgets and 2 cup hits plus some odds and ends.  Let me know if there is something you want.

Headed out of town for over a week so there will be no updates for a while.  Shop supplies are running out so there’s not much that can be worked on currently as it is.

The next two weeks I will be spending most of my time clearing about 8 helms that were for a large backorder before the shop closed in 2008.  I want to make good on these so the retailer can have an even better Pennsic.  After July I will be back to focusing on clearing backorders and making stock pieces.

The goal is still to create enough items and stock so to clear/refund all of the backorders by the end of September.

Completed an aircraft aluminum arm harness for a backorder.

Reminded me of how brutal it is to dish the thick T6 elbow cops.  Over 800 hits per pair with Mjolnir, my 4 pound sledge.  Needless to say I will be avoiding making any of these anytime soon!!!
